Patricia Apollonia Kotero (born Patricia Apollonia Kotero) is an American performer, actress, and former model. The most well-known of her works is the main character in Prince's 1984 Purple Rain film and lead vocalist in the girl group Apollonia 6 The singer and actress who was christened Apollonia by Prince was one of many female musicians in the '80s who benefited from her relationship with the Purple One. Patricia Kotero was born in Santa Monica, California in the year 1959. Her professional career began as a model in the late 1970s. She also appeared on CHiPS. She was the lead female in Prince's Purple Rain in 1984 (at the time he changed the name of her).
